Does Implicit work with the screen you have?
Often, yes — and here is exactly how. Every video plays in a browser, so you can watch one before anything is installed. For the wall itself there are two routes in use today: your player plays a stream URL from us, or our small player runs on the media server your integrator already installed.
For looking
A preview link.
Every video has a link that plays in a browser. Send it to your GM and it plays on their phone. Open it on a laptop, or on the browser built into a TV, and it plays there.
A preview link is for looking at a video and signing it off. It is not how the wall runs.
For the wall
Two routes in use today.
Your player plays our stream
If the player driving the wall can play a stream URL, point it at ours. Nothing new goes in the rack.
Our small player on your media server
If it cannot, we have a small player that runs on the media server your integrator already installed, and it drives the screen from there.
This is the configuration we can name: at 301 Congress, Implicit's player runs on the building's own media server.
Those are the two routes in use today. If your setup is neither, say what you have and we will tell you plainly whether it works.
Setup
What your integrator does.
Three things: work out which of the two routes your screen takes, get the access to the player or the media server that setting it up needs, and test it on the screen itself.
We will talk to your integrator directly if you like, so you are not in the middle of it.
Proportions
Portrait, landscape, or something unusual.
Five standard proportions are ready to make video in today, portrait and landscape. Video is made at those proportions from the start, rather than cropped from something wide.
Walls that are not a standard shape are set up with you when you start. HPI's is one of them: 3,360 × 8,100 px in the lobby at 301 Congress.
More than one
The wall and the elevator screens, one account.
A building usually has more than one screen: the wall in the lobby, the small landscape screens by the elevators, sometimes a storefront. They run from one account and one bill, with a different video on each if you want, or one theme across all of them.

Questions people ask.
- Do we need a new box for the wall?
- Not if the player you have can play a stream URL. If it cannot, our small player runs on the media server that is already in the rack. Either way, the wall itself does not change.
- Can our AV company do it?
- Yes, and that is the usual way. Tell us who they are and we will work out the route with them directly, so you are not in the middle of it.
- What happens if it stops playing?
- The wall keeps playing what it already has. We see that a screen has stopped and so do you, on the same page that shows what each screen is playing; what happens next depends on the cause.
- Does it work in portrait and landscape?
- Both. Video is made at your screen's proportions rather than cropped to them. More on portrait walls →
- Can one account run more than one building?
- Yes. One account, several buildings, each kept separate.
